When a bull gets bovine TB in a Hindu shrine in Wales two different belief systems clash.
On the one hand the Hindu's hold cows to be sacred and object to killing them. On the other hand, a mostly secular state (we have a state religion but it's CofE) which wants to prevent one bull dying a nasty death and infecting other cattle.
Personally, I'm on the side of the mostly secular state. It's a multi-cultural issue. Two different cultures living under the same legal system. For the most part the differences do not, and should not, matter but there are times when they collide. Which one prevails?
