Apple does want to know what you do with your DRM free music

When I wrote about the possibility of Apple tracking its new DRM free iTunes downloads I did not expect it to go so far as to include the purchasers email address in the downloaded data but I can't say I'm surprised.

It's interesting to see this portrayed as an invasion of privacy when for years people have put their name or mark on things they own. Remember the adhesive paper slips one could buy that said 'From the library of ...........'. You got to write your name on the slip and glue it to the book.
