Bottled water is bad. It's inefficient, expensive and resource hungry. The best bit about bottled water is the bottle. Once I've bought and drunk the water I reuse the bottle until it wears out. Only then do I buy another bottle of water.
On family day's out to theme parks and the like we use a Camping Gaz plastic thermos water bottle which we fill up with chilled water from the fridge (we do keep a britax water filter jug in the fridge) and it keeps us going for most of the day. Places that have water fountains make for convient refills too.
