This is stealing!

Here's a case of a supermarket stealing energy from its customers!

The energy 'generated' actually comes from the cars driving over the 'kinetic road plates'.

Energy is not generated. It is transfered from the forward movement of the car into electrical energy. The car is powered forward by the engine and the fuel for the engine is paid for by the driver. The energy is transfered to the supermarkets system and they save some money.

In the conversion process some energy will be lost making the system inefficient.

In sum, an energy inefficient way from taking energy paid for by car drivers and using it to reduce the energy bills of the supermarket.

Can this be right?
