This London Times article is about the 'high number' of suicides at France Telecom over the past 18 months. The issue is being raised by a French union.
However, as both the London Times article and this BBC News article from two days ago, points out, the suicide rate amongst the France Telecom workers is about the same as the national average.
France Telecom have had 23 suicides in a workforce of 102,200 since Feb 2008 which is about the same as the WHO give for France in 2005 which was 17.2 per 100,000 in 12 months.
Lies, damn lies and statistics!
Even then, at least the statistics are consistent.
