TV Makers are addicted to selling us the next set

TV makers have never had it so good over the previous 10 years. They've been able to sell us

• flatscreen CRTs
• wide screen CRTs
• wide screen plasma
• wide screen LCD
• HD ready wide screen LCD/plasma
• true HD widescreen LCD/plasma

That's six generations of TV technology and while I doubt most consumers bought every generation a lot of sets have been sold.

Now with everyone feeling poor and having pretty good flat screens the TV makers want to sell us 3D TVs because they're addicted to us buying a new TV every couple of years.

I still watching a Sony KV32FX20 which is a 32" flat screen CRT with a triniton tube and no processing. It still produces a lovely picture...
