The music industry is dying because

we're feeling poor according to this article. Also, there are more things to buy.

When I was music buying student in the 80s CDs were new and exciting. Vinyl and CDs, along with books, posters and t-shirts where the main lifestyle purchases a student made.

These days you need to add in extra stuff like DVDs/BlueRay, console games, much more clothing, internet access etc. Plus, we're feeling poor.

Is home taping still killing the music industry?
