Mark Carney says an independant Scotland cannot share a currency with the rest of the UK. He's right you know.
As the Euro zone has shown for a currency union to work the members of the union need to ceed fiscal and much political authority to one set of shared bodies. We already have one of those, the current United Kingdom.
I find it strange that the SNP want to leave one currency union (the United Kingdom) but keep its currency (the Pound Sterling) and then join another currency union (the EU) but not use its currency (the Euro).
