Is cheap meat more important than hospitals? (No.)

It still amazes me that America still prioritizes cheap meat over medical safety.

While the meat industry continues to lobby for the on-going use of antibiotics to fatten cattle a bit faster the politicians don't seem capable of understanding just how important antibiotics are to medicine. If the politicians do, they're not doing anything about it.

We really do need to guard and protect our antibiotics and use them carefully before nature's bugs out evolve our ability to find new antibiotics. Many would argue that nature already has.

Perhaps the E word is America's problem.
