Google Titan Bluetooth Key, Chrome and Windows 10 PCs

Has any one actually got the Google Titan Bluetooth Key to work for signing in to Chrome on a Windows 10 PC?

I can get the Bluetooth Key to work on Android Phone and iPads no problem and the USB key works on Windows 10 PCs with out issue.

What I cannot get to work is the Bluetooth Key.

Does any one have a working setup ( Windows version, Chrome version, Bluetooth dongle model/make/version etc ) that they can share?

I'd really like to get the Bluetooth Dongle working on our PCs at $WORK. Many of them a hard to access and we cannot expect users to rummage under their desks sticking the USB dongle in them.

One alternative is USB keyboards with USB hubs in them but that does not work for staff with wireless keyboards.

We're really like our staff to be able to keep their Bluetooth key on their ID pass and, when necessary, just press the button.

Is this too much to ask?

  1. I've now got the Bluetooth Key working on a Windows 10 laptop. The key (ha!) steep is to Pair the key to the laptop which is something that one can do with the codes ( ID and paring code ) printed on the back of the Bluetooth Key.

Once pared Chrome will allow one to use the Bluetooth Key for 2FA and logon.

I suspect that Chrome only offer this option if it sees a Bluetooth Key as a paired device.

    This is workable if disappointing.

I was hoping for BLE ad-hoc connectivity so the Bluetooth Key would not have to be paired with the users PC or laptop before use. It would be really handy to have as it would then be one less thing to manage on our PCs.
